English - The Lost Happy Endings
The Lost Happy Endings by Carol Ann Duffy
When a wicked witch devises a plan to steal all the happy endings to bedtime stories, it is up to Jub - the keeper of the happy endings - to save the day and ensure sweet dreams everywhere.
In summer term, we will be using this book as inspiration to plan and write our own twisted narratives. First we enjoy, explore and respond to the story imaging what the main characters might be feeling or thinking. Through we analyse the text structures and key vocabularly and phrases used. In the planning stages we gather ideas and begin to organise it onto a plan. Finally, we write draft and edit our twisted narratives to create a final piece.
